Setup Instructions

To install Best Accountability on your MacOS device, follow the steps below on the MacOS device you wish to monitor.

1. Download the Best Accountability installer: https://mac.truple.io/ba/prod/Best%20Accountability.pkg

2. Open the installer and click through the steps to install the app.

3. Once installed, open Launchpad and click the Best Accountability app.

4. Click Add Device to Account.

5. Enter the subscribed Best Accountability account email address (Truple and ScreenKin accounts work too).

6. Enter a device name.

7. Click Add Device to Account.

8. Grant the app access to the network so it can use the internet.

9. The subscribed account owner can log in and approve the request from app.bestaccountability.com.

   (app.truple.io or app.screenkin.com can be used as well)

10. Click Check if Granted.

11. Click Request Permission.

12. Click Open System Settings.

13. Toggle the Best Accountability app's recording permission so it's on.

14. Enter your MacOS password or fingerprint to approve the change.

15. Click Quit & Reopen.

16. Once the application reopens, you'll be prompted to enable automatic launching. Click Enable Now.

    Don't skip this step. It only takes one click, and it's what allows the app to start automatically whenever the Mac is turned on. Without it, monitoring won't resume after the device restarts.

Congratulations! This MacOS device is now being monitored. Within a few minutes, check the report and you should see screenshots being captured.
