Why does the Truple app keep shutting down on my android device?
Last updated: August 30, 2024
Why is this necessary?
Many phone manufacturers customize the android operating system on their phones. One common adjustment, is adding a battery optimizer. These battery optimizers typically monitor for background apps and shut them down. Manufacturers add battery "optimizers" in order to claim their device has better battery life. Unfortunately these changes can cause issues with long running background apps, like Truple.
App developers cannot fix the battery optimizers, however the phone user (you) typically can by adjusting settings within the Settings app. We've added instructions for common manufacturers below.
If you'd like to learn more about this, see the bug's app developers have reported to Google.
